After passing the theory and practical driving tests, an extra door to the driving world is opened. It is only now that a new driver begins to gain experience and improve upon the skills they have learnt. A good way to become safer on the roads and gain valuable experience more quickly is to take a 'Pass Plus' course of motorway lessons.
The Pass Plus Scheme
This is organised by the DSA. It is designed to enhance the skills of newly qualified drivers. The instructors at Ambition Driving College are registered in this area of driving and are able to offer this additional tuition. There is no practical test, more so that it is a course of additional lessons that include motorway driving. Once the course is completed the DSA will issue a certificate. Most major insurance companies now recognise this scheme and offer discounted premiums of up to 30%.

Motorway Driving
Even if a new driver decides not to take the Pass Plus Scheme, it is still advisable to have some driving tuition for motorway driving, before driving alone for the first time. Motorway driving can be a very daunting experience without some supervision. Recent figures suggest that 42% of accidents on motorways are caused by inexperienced drivers. With this in mind, at Ambition Driving College, we offer intensive motorway lessons. This will provide new drivers with the opportunity of expanding their knowledge and skills that are required on high speed roads.
